Proximal Sensing, Drones & Soil: Join the Future of Soil Health Monitoring
The EU Soil Observatory (EUSO) released a survey exploring the use of proximal sensing and drones for soil data collection.
Proximal sensing and drone technologies offer cutting-edge solutions for understanding soil variability, supporting sustainable agriculture, and advancing land management practices.
This survey aims to:
- Build a database of research studies using sensors for soil analysis.
- Conduct a meta-analysis to integrate sensor-derived data with other sources.
- Investigate how sensors can monitor soil descriptors under the EU Soil Monitoring Directive and soil health indicators in the EU Mission Soil Implementation Plan.
- Take part in the survey here
- Deadline: 31 January 2025
